PANELMAX® 40
MAXimum Performance, MAXimum Durability, MAXimum Efficiency
The PANELMAX®40 is perfect for low to medium cycle applications where high levels of insulation, security and safety is required. The insulating properties of the panels combined with a full perimeter seal provides optimum temperature control reducing energy consumption. Available in a range of economical motorised or manual options.
PANELMAX® is an insulated sectional door specifically designed to provide thermal and acoustic insulation, superior sealing and security. This door is mainly used in cool room and loading dock applications but is also suited to a range of other applications and available in a wide range of colours and surface finishes.
Construction
PANELMAX® Sectional Panel Lift Doors are made of insulated sandwich panel consisting of metal outer surfaces bonded to an insulating core of fire-resistant expanded polyurethane foam with a purpose designed thermosetting structural adhesive. These panels combine excellent thermal insulation properties using a unique cold bridge profile design, coupled with sound-deadening properties and a modern micro-profiled panel style. All tracks are constructed of roll formed galvanised steel and panel capping of anodized aluminium. These qualities make the PANELMAX® Door a market leading solution in terms of performance and appearance. They are fully compliant with the EN13241-1 norm and have been awarded TüV Nord certification. A high quality insulated sectional door that blends in perfectly with modern styling trends in industrial and commercial architecture.
Optional extra – a range of colourbond or powdercoated colours (RAL colour range).
Windows
PANELMAX® Doors can be fitted with separate windows or window sections for extra natural light and vision. Our standard plastic windows are rectangular with either rounded or 90⁰ corners. The window pane is double-glazed providing thermal consistency and can also be supplied in a high strength variant where security is required. Window sizes range from 500mm W x 150mm H to 660mm W x 350mm H.
Operation – Manual
PANELMAX® Doors can be supplied as a manually operated door, each door is balanced to ensure easy lift operation of the door, a size limit of 25m² applies.
Operation – Automated
Max Door Solutions use complete GFA drive systems on all PANELMAX® Doors, GFA drive systems are a complete package and purpose built for Sectional Door applications. GFA are a German based company and have been in the market for 58 years, they sell around 150,000 drive systems per annum which position them as the largest door operator manufacturer in Europe. GFA’s commitment to quality and innovative design support Max Door Solutions design criteria of Strength, Durability and Simple Operation. All GFA drive systems are designed and manufactured in Germany and supported by a local sales and technical base in Sydney including stocked spare parts.
Every automated PANELMAX® Door is fitted with a GFA SafeDrive® operated through a standardised Control Panel which are available to suit both single (240v) and 3 Phase (415v) power sources. This operator is fitted standard with digital limits with absolute encoder, after power failure no readjustment is required as the encoder memory is independant of constant power supply. The GFA Control Panel is designed with simple operation in mind, each door is supplied with an easy to understand operation manual and troubleshooting guide which directly relate to the LED display positioned on the front of the control panel. All GFA drive systems conform to DIN EN 12453 (control panel) and DIN EN 12604/12605 (safety brake) and are IP65 rated.
Track Configuration
The PANELMAX® Door track system can be configured to suit all applications, complete vertical lift, high lift; standard 90⁰ track system and low headroom systems are available according to each doorway. Tight side guide clearances as small as 150mm including drive (motor/gear) are available upon request.
Size Range
PANELMAX® iso doors are available to a maximum dimension of 50m² (automated); this translates to around 6000mm wide x 8000mm high.
Wind Class Ratings
PANELMAX® standard configuration is capable of withstanding wind gusts of up to 150klm/hr (Class 3) due to the application of a series of strengthening braces.

Safety
Operational safety plays a key role at the design stage. A range of safety features are built in as standard into every PANELMAX® Door, these include spring-break and cable-break devices which automatically stop the door from dropping to the ground in the event cables or torsion springs break. A “soft-touch” bottom panel optical safety edge reverses the door in case of accidental impact with a person or object while moving to the closed position. Door panel profiles are specifically designed to provide constant finger protection throughout the complete travel cycle of the door. An Emergency Stop button is fitted to every control panel to provide fast and easy shut-down of the door in the event of an emergency.
Activation
A standard activation feature of every PANELMAX® Door is a push button panel integrated within the Control Panel, fitted on the other side of the doorway is a wall mounted single push button. Additional activation methods are listed below.
Optional extras – induction floor loop vehicle detection, remote control, radar vehicle/personnel detection system, transponder system, “touchless” button, security key/swipe pad, lockable key switch
